Instruction
Macramé plant hanger
Checkliste
- 1 empty 966 g Cavendish & Harvey Jar
- Measuring tape
- A little thicker cord, about 10 meters
- Scissors
- Duct tape
- Pebbles
- Potting soil
- A small plant of your choice
Step 1
Cut the cord. You need a 1.2 meter long piece and 8 x 1 meter long pieces. Gather all the 1-meter pieces together in a bundle. Using the 1.2 meter piece of cord, tie a loop knot. Wrap the rest of this cord tightly around the bundle from top to bottom. Put the end in the noose. Now tighten the noose and cut off the ends.
Step 2
Attach the cord to the table with duct tape. Put the cords together in pairs. Two strands each, knotting four pairs at a distance of approx. 6 cm from the tying knot.
Step 3
Bring the adjacent strands together and at a distance of knot approx. 6 cm. Repeat this step a third time to create a network.
Step 4
Plant the hanging basket. To do this, fill the Cavendish & Harvey Jar with about 2.5 cm of pebbles. Then fill the jar with potting soil up to the top third. Now place the plant in the glass and fill the cavities with soil. Press the plant briefly and moisten with water.
Step 5
Knot the twine pairs again after 20 cm. Tie the ends together into a large knot. Place the plant straight in the net and hang the macramé plant hanger on the knot.
Note:
Make sure you don't over-water your plant. Saturation is the worst enemy for any plant.
